Не знаю, по моему тут все дело в плохой установке в ухо. Плохо воткнул - нет басов. По поводу мощности усилка в iPod Nano 2Gקמ - Impedance: 32 ohms. По моему вполне достаточно, что бы прокачать и не такие наушники.
Вот пример с Амазона, чувак пишет что как только он подобрал насадку плотно сидящую в ухе - басы появились
