GEIL DDR3-1066 G31GB1066C6PXA (2x1GB) Review @ OCWORKBENCH
"The company GEIL needs not introduction. Famous for its series of memory modules, it has garner a reputation for its quality DDR2 modules in the past years.

With the advancement of technology and the early adopter of DDR3, GEIL brings us another piece of module for review, that is GEIL's DDR3-1066.

This pair of 1GB module is rated at DDR3-1066 (PC3-8500) at CAS 6-6-20 1.5V. The modules have 3 SPD timings embedded for different CAS latency and speed.

We put the modules to the test on the Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 mainboard in the subsequent pages."

"Kingston, the life time warranty ram maker delivers its first DDR3 module at Computex. We managed to loan a pair of 1GB to test it on the Gigabyte P35T-DQ6 mainboard and ASUS P5K3 Deluxe Mainboard.

This pair of modules model KHX11000D3LLK2/2G is rated DDR3-1066 and it is rated at 2.7v. The SPD timing is a bit lower than the GEIL we tested yesterday. It's SPD timing is CAS 7-7-7-20. We have seen that an increase in CAS Latency won't affect much of the performance, what about lowering it ? In the following pages, we will investigate it."
